‘Literally my star sign’: Maya Jama responds to Leonardo DiCaprio romance rumours after wearing ‘Leo’ necklace

Maya Jama has responded to rumours that she’s dating Leonardo DiCaprio, after her ‘Leo’ necklace sparked further speculation.

The Love Island host, 28, from Bristol, took to Twitter to address the rumours by sharing an image of a newspaper article and telling speculating fans to “move on.”

“I’ve been minding my business on holiday & said I wouldn’t respond/pay attention to any of the silly stories anymore, but you need to stop now, that is literally my star sign. We are not dating. Move on please,” Maya tweeted.

Maya Jama is currently on holiday in China and is regularly posting on her Instagram stories, from bikini snaps to video clips showing herself enjoying the luxury Wynn Palace casino.

After the rumours initially started circulating, Hollywood actor Leonardo shut down the claims that he and Maya were “secretly dating” following a few nights out in London, Paris and New York.

A source told The Mirror that The Wolf of Wall Street actor sent the new Rimmel Brand ambassador a stunning bouquet of roses, after mutual friends introduced them.

Maya then took to Instagram and posted a selfie with the impressive bouquet as part of a ‘photo dump’ from her New York trip.

Maya added fuel to the fire by sharing a video of herself on her Instagram stories wearing a blue and red bikini, a visor and a simple gold ‘Leo’ necklace.

Despite fans wanting to see this as confirmation of the relationship, it has been revealed the necklace symbolises her star sign, as Maya’s birthday is 14 August - making her a Leo.

Maya Jama and Leonardo DiCaprio, 48, romance rumours began to spiral after the pair were spotted together on multiple occasions.

A source told The Sun: "Maya and Leo are in regular contact and have been on a string of dates. They have both recently come out of long-term relationships so neither of them are rushing into anything - they are having fun and seeing how it goes.”

“They live in different countries and Maya has had a long-distance relationship before and knows it’s tough, so they are taking things a day at a time," the source added.

Leonardo DiCaprio’s last long-term relationship was with Victoria’s Secret model Camilla Morrone. The couple split last year after being together for five years. Leonardo has since been linked to model Gigi Hadid, 27.

Maya Jama was engaged to NBA star Ben Simmons, until last Summer, who she was first linked to back in Spring 2021. It was later speculated that Maya had rekindled her romance with her ex-boyfriend Stormzy, 29, after they were spotted getting cosy at events.
