Carol Vorderman has gushed about the release of her new Hollywood friend’s upcoming project. The former Countdown star, 62, who lives in Bristol, took to Instagram on Thursday morning to share the trailer of Kelsey Grammer’s upcoming movie, ‘Jesus Revolution.’
In her Instagram stories, the I’m A Celebrity star posted a promotional photo for the movie, and captioned it: “The Jesus Revolution film is being released across the UK and Irish cinemas June 23rd…”
She then went on to give a brief overview of the upcoming film, which is based on the autobiographical book of the same name. Carol wrote: “Kelsey Grammer plays a character called Pastor Chuck (still alive today) and together with Jonathan Roumie, a hippie street preacher open the doors of their church and welcome EVERYONE in, resulting in what TIME magazine called The Jesus Revolution.”
Carol also attached a ‘Get Tickets’ link in an attempt to urge her followers to check out the new feature film in cinemas. In the next story, she gushed as she posted the official trailer for the film, captioning it: “I watch @mrkelseygrammer most mornings on Frasier so I can’t wait to watch his new film.❤️”
Carol met Kelsey Grammer earlier this year when he was a guest on ITV’s This Morning. Carol was taken aback, during the encounter as Kelsey knew her by name.
She took to Instagram to share snaps with the Cheers actor, writing:“What a wonderful time on @thismorning today 💙I bumped into my Frasier hero (I still watch about 3 episodes a week ) @mrkelseygrammer and I said “Kelsey” and he said “Carol”. He knew me. Which was the best surprise in the world. How did that happen?”
“Well Kelsey’s wife Katey is from Portishead (they have a house there) and Portishead (next to Bristol) was my local town for over a decade. Ha. Small world. Made my week ❤️,” she added.
Fans flooded the comments section, with one writing: “No way!!!! Love it. That would be so weird if a celebrity knew my name but I love that you found it funny even though you’re a well known celebrity! 😂” and another wrote: “Frasier is probably one of the best series of all time.“
Whilst a third chimed in, saying: “I do enjoy that you both have pictures in the Chinese takeaway in Portishead!” To which Carol replied: “it’s funny 😂”
