In the post, Carol can be seen donning a skin-tight denim jumpsuit from high-end brand, Guess. She finished the look with black high-heeled boots, and gold pendant earrings.

The I’m A Celebrity star also showed off her new blonde curly hair, which she debuted during an appearance on ITV’s This Morning last week. During the phone-in segment on the show, she dubbed herself as ‘the Little Mermaid of pensioners.’

The behind-the-scenes footage of Have I Got News For You shows Carol sitting beside team captain and journalist, Ian Hislop, 62, as they prepare to film. She also shared photos taken backstage alongside the host for the episode, Steph McGovern, the team captains, Paul Merton, 65, and Ian Hislop, as well as the opposing team guest, comedian Nabil Abdulrashid, 37.

The Countdown legend also included snaps of everyone leaving the studio in high spirits after filming the show. In one snap Carol can be  seen laughing out loud as she walks arm-in-arm with Ian Hislop, who is still enjoying a glass of white wine as they make their exit.

“Blinded by the flashes from the paparazzi and Ian’s making us die laughing with his arm up “no photos, no photos”..😂 A good night 💪🏻.”

Carol’s appearance on the BBC show comes after the TV presenter was praised by fans as she hit the gym for a gruelling work out on Sunday, which she shared to her Instagram page.  In the videos, she appeared fresh-faced and wearing skin-tight matching workout clothes as she worked up a sweat at the Gymset centre in Bristol, using kettlebells and sliding disks.
