Sixteen restaurants in Bristol included in the Michelin Guide 2023
The Michelin Guide 2023 has now been published - and we’re fortunate in Bristol to have more than a dozen restaurants included, including two with a Michelin star.
Last night, a ceremony was held to launch the Michelin 2023 guide for Great Britain and Ireland - and at it the restaurants to receive Michelin stars, as well as the Green Stars for sustainability and other special awards, were announced.
‘The soundtrack is pumping and the open kitchen bustling, at the Sanchez-Iglesias family’s reinvention of what was previously Casamia restaurant. The modern Italian small plates burst with flavour: the fried semolina with parmesan is a great way to start, the pasta dishes are exceptional, and the tiramisu uses a secret family recipe. Service is nicely paced and attentive’ | _Credit_ Faydit Photography
6. Chef’s Table, Hotwells
‘In the old part of the city close to the famous docks you’ll find this intimate, personally run, 2-room restaurant, with a small front terrace, a warm service team and a buzzing atmosphere. The two menus – most diners plump for the tasting menu – offer original, modern and sometimes intricate dishes, which are aesthetically striking and full of flavour. | Alex Ross
7. COR, Bedminster - Bib Gourmand
‘Its look is somewhere between a Mediterranean restaurant and a tapas bar, with some counter dining and shelves bursting with cookery books and wine but, more importantly, it’s imbued with an air of contagious positivity and is a perfect fit for this buzzy neighbourhood. Dishes like hake with mussels or Tropea onion with hazelnut beurre noisette really hit the spot – and the charcuterie and cheeses are also good.’ | Cor
8. Harbour House, city centre
‘Right on the river, in the heart of Bristol, you’ll find this rustic restaurant, which features a spacious dining room and a long, narrow outside terrace. Well known for their afternoon tea and Sunday roast, they also serve an all-day menu of appealing modern dishes, which offers something for everyone. The fish dishes are a highlight, and the kedgeree arancini, a must-try.' | Orbitance
