A popular Greggs in Bristol, which has only recently reopened after a months-long temporary closure, is now set to close permanently.

The cafe and bakery has been served a notice to vacate its premises in Broadwalk Shopping Centre in Knowle by November, BristolWorld understands.

The notice is linked to the controversial redevelopment of the centre, which is due to be knocked down to make way for up to 800 flats and a shopping street.

There is no date for the closure of store, which was temporarily closed from the end of October last year to the start of February this year.

That closure was believed to be linked to the opening of a new Greggs in the Tesco superstore in Brislington.

Greggs declined to comment on the record. Broadwalk Shopping Centre have been contacted for comment.
