Carol Vorderman captured the attention of viewers as I’m A Celebrity returned to screens for an All Star series on Monday night.

The former Countdown host, 62, who lives in Bristol, entered the South Africa camp alongside former boxer Amir Khan, 36, and Diversity star Jordan Banjo, 30.

The campmates were split into different groups and had to complete challenges to win stars before entering the camp. Carol, Amir and Jordan took on Deadly Drop, which involved the trio walking the plank 50 metres above the ground.

As they began the challenge, fans were quick to take to Twitter to gush over the former Countdown star’s “ageless beauty.”

One fan wrote: "How is Carol Vorderman 63? She looks great!! #ImACeleb”

Another chimed in: "Carol Vorderman is looking good for her age #ImACeleb."

A third said: "How good is Carol looking 62 years old looking far far younger and so full of energy.”

A fourth commented: "Wow, Carol Vorderman is ageing like a fine wine #ImACeleb #CarolVorderman."

The other campmates each completed their tasks, Newton’s Cradle and the Trees of Torment, before meeting their fellow campmates.

Helen Flanagan, 32, Fatima Whitbread, 62, and Phil Tufnell, 56, took on Newton’s Cradle, where one celebrity had to turn giant red balls into a bridge for the others.

Whilst Janice Dickinson, 68, Shaun Ryder, 60, and Paul Burrell, 64, tackled the Trees of Torment challenge, which involved floating on a raft and trying to retrieve stars from holes full of critters.

Ant and Dec appeared in camp after they were all reunited to announce that they would be treated to a surprise. They later received an intriguing large wooden box, which left them shocked when former contestant Gillian McKeith jumped out.

It was revealed prior to the All Stars series launch that an “explosive bust-up” between Carol and Janice took place in the camp, after Janice revealed her beliefs that the Monarchy needs to go. Janice called Carol’s view on the subject “old-fashioned and dated” as Carol hit back by calling Janice “crass and obnoxious.”

I’m A Celebrity ...South Africa continues every night on ITV, at 9pm.
