The former Countdown star said: “Some of the trials are: ‘HOLY C**P! How did I live?!’
“I’m not exaggerating. There was one trial that petrified me. And I’m not frightened of anything. I don’t think I’ve ever been as scared in my life.”
Carol said: “It’s fiercely hot in there, all the time – much hotter than the Australian camp.”

The new spin-off ITV1 show was filmed in Krugar National Park last year, with Carol joining other former I’m A Celeb campmates including Paul Burrell and Helen Flanagan.
As the series is pre-recorded, there are no public votes determining the trials or who eventually wins, instead the celebrities are up against each other to stay in the camp.
“It’s live or die. There were some: ‘Oh my God, this is going to go viral!’ moments,” Carol added.

Since she appeared on I’m A Celebrity, seven years ago, alongside comedian Joel Dommett and Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt, Carol has managed to amass a loyal fan following.
I’m A Celebrity… South Africa starts on Monday 24 April at 9pm, on ITV1.
