A fundraising event for St. Peter’s Hospice - a local charity in the Bristol area that provides care and support to adults who are living with life-limiting illnesses.

When is the Tour de Bristol 2022 and when does it start?
Tour de Bristol 2022 takes place on Saturday, April 9 from the University of the West of England Centre for Sport.
Start times at this event vary, as it depends on what wave you would like to participate in.
The start times are as follows:
- 100K bike ride: 8 am to 8:30 am, 8:30 to 9 am, 9 am to 9:30 am
- 65K bike ride: 9:30 am to 10 am, 10 am to 10:30 am
- 40K bike ride: 10:30 am to 11 am

What are the routes of Tour De Bristol 2022?

Hide AdParticipants have the option of three different routes to suit a range of abilities: 40km, 65km and 100km.
All routes leave from Bristol’s UWE campus and head into the remarkable local surroundings.
Each route will have at least one feed station hosted by the Rapid Relief Team, where riders can stop and refuel.
The details for each of the routes are as follows:
40km Route
The distance of this route is 40 km, which equates to around 24 miles of bike riding.

Hide AdThis route heads out from the UWE campus using a cycle track that takes you through Bradley Stoke.
You will then grace the majestic and beautiful South Gloucestershire countryside before making your way through some peaceful small local villages.
After leaving Tockington and Olveston along with Littleton-upon-Severn, you will return via Alveston.
The feed station for this route will be located at Olveston Parish Hall.
65km Route

Hide AdThe distance of this route is 65km, which equates to around 42 miles of bike riding.
Heading out of the grounds of UWE, you will use a cycle track that will take you towards the South Gloucestershire countryside.
Following some quiet roads and passing through some pretty villages, you will continue north through Oldbury on Severn before you cycle towards Berkeley and Ham.
Turning around and heading back towards Bristol, you will make your way through Rockhampton and around Thornbury to return to the UWE campus.

Hide AdThe feed stations for this route will be located at Olveston Parish Hall and Rockhampton Cricket Club.
100km Route
If you really want to test yourself and fully emerge yourself into the Tour de Bristol experience, take on the brand new 100km route.
The distance of this route is 100km, which equates to around 62 miles of bike riding.
In what has been dubbed ‘the most challenging of the routes’, after embarking from the UWE grounds and passing through the South Gloucestershire countryside, you will head north towards North Nibley.

Hide AdYou will then be tasked with the challenge of overcoming the ascent out of Wotton-under-Edge as you bask in the scenic views across the River Severn.
After cycling through a stretch of quiet roads, explore the area of Didmarton before starting your return to Bristol, which will involve passing through Pucklechurch and around the outside of Yate.
The feed stations for this route will be located at The Royal Oak, Cromhall and Badminton Memorial Hall.

If for whatever reason you are unable to attend the in-person Tour de Bristol 2022, you can support the cause remotely - this is called ‘Your Ride’.

Hide AdDesign your own routes in your local area and paths that can take on either 40km, 65km or go big with 100km.
There is even the opportunity to take part in completing the distance via a turbo trainer in your garden, or a Zwift in the living room - there is no barrier to entry.
How do I enter the Tour De Bristol 2022 and how much does it cost?
To officially enter this year’s Tour De Bristol, you must first sign up through the St Peter’s Hospice page.
You will then complete a form where you will be charged an entry fee, which can be either of the following:
40km ride: £27.00 per adult
65km ride: £32.00 per adult
100km ride: £37.00 per adult

Hide AdIf you are taking part remotely through ‘Your Ride’, the charge is £20 per person.
Your entry fees will cover the cost of running the event, anything in addition will go towards the charity.
There will also be an additional opportunity to donate to St Peter’s Hospice.
All money that is raised and donated at the event will go a long way towards making a difference for local families, providing a caring nurse or a listening ear to people in need during the most desperate of times.
