Hull City are ‘pushing’ to sign Newcastle United goalkeeper Karl Darlow on a permanent basis, as per a report by the Northern Echo. The former Nottingham Forest man was given the green light to join the Tigers on loan in January and has made the number one spot his own at the MKM Stadium. Liam Rosenior’s side are a point above Bristol City in the table and have ambitious plans to compete at the top end of the table next year under Turkish owner Acun Ilicali.

Sunderland linked with midfielder

Sunderland are being linked with a summer swoop for SC Heerenveen midfielder Thom Haye. According to Leeuwarder Courant reporter Sander de Vries, the Black Cats are looking to lure the Eredivisie ace over to England ahead of next term. Tony Mowbray’s side still have a chance of making the play-offs after snatching a last-gasp equaliser against Watford last time out as they lock horns with Preston North End next Monday.

QPR man wanted

QPR loan man Tim Iroegbunam, who is currently on the books at Aston Villa, is reportedly on the radar of Rangers. Football Insider claim Michael Beale is keen to reunite with the young midfielder at Ibrox as he hunts for additions. The 19-year-old has made 34 appearances in all competitions this term and will be up against Bristol City next in what could be his last outing for the Hoops.
