The full-back’s contract expires at the end of this term and he is due to become a free agent soon.

Middlesbrough target goalkeeper

Middlesbrough are being linked with a swoop for Ipswich Town goalkeeper Christian Walton ahead of the next transfer window. Football League World claim Michael Carrick’s side have identified the former Brighton and Hove Albion man as a potential replacement for Manchester City loan man Zack Steffen between the sticks. Walton has helped his current club rise to 2nd in the League One table and they are on the verge of promotion now under Kieran McKenna.

The Daily Record say the Glasgow giants are eyeing a potential bid for the 25-year-old as he looks to bolster his ranks to get closer to Celtic. Willock, who is a product of the Arsenal academy, has been with the R’s since 2020 and has made 76 appearances for the London outfit in all competitions, chipping in with 10 goals to date.
