Bristol City have often resisted from doing too much permanent business in the January transfer window and this month hasn’t been any different. The Robins have welcomed one new signing, with Nikita Haikin joining on a free transfer after he was released by Bodo/Glimt.
However, following the disappointing departure of Antoine Semenyo to Bournemouth for over £10m, it could be an interesting few days on Ashton Gate. Though the Robins certainly don’t want to risk panic-buying, especially given a recent history of poor buys in the winter window.

1. Timm Klose - 2022
Klose joined Bristol City last season and went onto sign a new contract in the summer. He has featured ten times in the Championship this season.
2. Henri Lansbury - 2021
Lansbury joined Bristol City following his departure from Aston Villa two years ago. The midfielder featured 16 times for the Robins before he left upon the expiration of his contract and now plays for Luton Town
3. Nahki Wells - 2020
The striker joined Bristol City from Burnley three years ago and has netted 27 goals in the Championship since. The 32-year-old is the Robins’ joint-top goalscorer this season (9 goals).
4. Liam Walsh - 2018
Walsh joined Bristol City from Everton six years ago and only made 15 appearances in the Championship before joining Coventry City on loan, where he was named in the PFA Team of the Year. The midfielder was released in 2021 and now plays for Swansea City, though is yet to feature this season.
