Pearson is up against Michael Carrick, Vincent Kompany and John Dahl Tomasson.
Middlesbrough won four of their five games under the Manchester United legend, including a big win against promotion rivals Sheffield United. They picked up 12 points from a possible five, losing only to West Brom.
As for Vincent Kompany, Burnley picked up 14 points from a possible 18, and Blackburn had 12 points from 18, with Pearson picking up the least but in fewer games than most.

Hide AdIt’s a rare league match in front of the television cameras this weekend as City host Mick McCarthy’s Tangerines on Sky Sports on Saturday at lunch-time. Former Leeds United and Southampton midfielder turned pundit and presenter for Sky Sports has given his say on the potential outcome of Saturday’s game.
Prutton said to Sky Sports: “Bristol City’s momentum has dipped a little this week. A disappointing defeat at Cardiff, followed by an underwhelming draw against struggling Huddersfield.
“This is a chance to get back on the horse, but it’s also a must-win game for Blackpool. They battled to an excellent point against Burnley last week, but with six points between themselves and safety they need to start winning games. I can’t see that happening at Ashton Gate.”
He thinks that City will keep a clean sheet and win by just the one goal, predicting a 1-0 win for the hosts.

Hide AdCBS Sport journalist Ben Jacobs says that Bournemouth have cooled their interest in Alex Scott. Several Premier League clubs are keen on Scott, including Spurs who are ‘seriously watching him’, but the Cherries have seemingly withdrawn from the running. Leeds United’s interest was also when Jesse March was at the helm, and now with Javi Gracia in charge and their top-flight status not secure, he may not be a priority target for the Whites.
Quarter-final date confirmed
Bristol City’s Under-21’s will face Nottingham Forest on Monday, March 13, in the quarter-finals of the Premier League Cup. The young Robins finished ahead of Newcastle United and Crystal Palace in the group stages and also knocked out Everton’s development team to reach this stage of the competition.
It will be held at the High Performance Centre, with kick off taking place at 1.00 pm.
