Bristol City starlet Marlee Francois has received a call-up by the Australian FA to represent their Under-23's side later this month.

Former Cardiff City, Rangers and Middlesbrough defender Tony Vidmar has included Francois in a 24-man squad for a European training camp which will take place between March 20 to March 28. They have two fixtures, first against Switzerland's Under-21's on March 24, before facing Serie B side Como three days later on March 27.

Francois has found himself part of the senior squad over the last two months, with several cameo appearances for the Robins. The 20-year-old made his senior debut against West Brom in the FA Cup, and was also brought on for the final stages of the defeat to Pep Guardiola's Manchester City. Against Huddersfield Town on Tuesday, he was on the bench as he waits for his first taste of Championship football.

Other English based players include goalkeeper Nichlolas Bilkokapic from Huddersfield Town, Brighton's Cameron Peupion, Jordan Harrison from Watford, as well as Lachlan Brook from Clewe Alexandra. Marlee's brother Tyrese who plays for Fulham, was the captain of the Under-23's side, but is not included this time around. The 22-year-old was included in the senior squad last September.
