Officers attended Sparke Evans Park in Albert Road

Police were alerted to a ‘rave’ at park in Bristol city centre - but when officers arrived they found no trace of the reported incident.

Several people in the Brislington and St Anne’s areas reported hearing loud music yesterday evening (April 29). One person wrote on social media that a ‘rave [was] happening in Sparke Evans Park tonight’ and provided a reference number for people to call Avon and Somerset Police.

Other people questioned if it was in fact music coming from Motion, where a grime music event was taking place.

This morning, an Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: “We were called to Sparke Evans Park, in Albert Road, Bristol, at around 6pm yesterday (Saturday 29 April) following reports of anti-social behaviour and loud music.

“Officers attended the park and found nobody there. They conducted a tour of the area and found no trace. It was a call with good intent.”
