The fun-filled animal park near Bristol with goats, sheep, pigs and donkeys

And it’s reasonably priced too

Families living in Bristol are fortunate to have several brilliant animal parks on their doorstep. From Grimsbury Community Farm to Chew Valley Animal Park, you don’t have to venture far for some fun animal feeding.

But what about places further afield? We took the direct 40-minute train to Trowbridge, where we caught the X34 bus to Southwick Country Farm, the home of Fairfield Animal Centre.

The centre features a large animal park to explore with a wide variety of animals from goats and donkeys to chickens and ducks. There are also features like a large play area and a woodland walk with a ‘bugs hotel’.

There’s also a cafe providing breakfast and lunch, or just a coffee. And the good thing is its reasonably priced, with money also going toward a local charity for young adults with disabilities.
