Police issue update on motorcyclist crash in Brislington

Police have provided an update on a crash involving a motorcyclist which resulted in the closure of the inbound Bath Road for more than two hours yesterday (August 24)

Officers closed off the road between Callington Road and Talbort Road due to the incident at 1.30pm. A collision investigation unit was also called to the scene of the crash next to The Old Bank.

This morning, Avon and Somerset Police, which reopened the road at 4pm, issued a small update which indicated the male rider of the motorbike was in a stable condition in hospital.

The spokesperson said: “Police were called to Eagle Road/the A4 Bath Road, Brislington just before 1.30pm on Wednesday 24 August following a report of a single vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and rider.

“Ambulance attended and the rider went to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

“The road was reopened at about 4pm after the vehicle was recovered and debris cleared.”
