Maya Jama’s ex-fiancé NBA player Ben Simmons, has reportedly moved on with Hollywood actress Eiza González, 33.

The Love Island host, 28, from Bristol, was in a long-distance relationship with Australian basketball player Ben Simmons, 26, and after a whirlwind romance, the pair got engaged in December 2021.

They split last year, and it was recently revealed that Ben sent Maya a legal letter demanding that she return the £800,000 engagement ring that was still in her possession.

The NBA star was snapped on a “date night” with Hollywood actress Eiza Gonzalez, as they left Manhattan Sushi restaurant, BONDST, on Friday.

A source told The Sun: “The pair have been quietly getting to know each other for a while now and it feels like romance is on the cards. Ben wanted to draw a line under his relationship with Maya, hence demanding the ring back.”

Eiza, who is best known for her roles in Baby Driver (2017),  Godzilla vs. Kong (2021) and Ambulance (2022), has allegedly been dating Ben Simmons “for a few weeks.”

The actress looked smitten with Ben as they strolled side-by-side, laughing and chatting as several friends trailed behind them.

The Baby Driver actress, had reportedly rekindled her romance with Aquaman star Jason Momoa, last Summer, after a brief separation. They then split up again, after allegedly agreeing they were just very different people.

Prior to Ben’s relationship with Maya, he was romantically linked to supermodel Kendall Jenner, 27, and they went on to date on/off for two years.

Following her split from her fiancé Ben, the Love Island host clarified details in an interview with The Sunday Times. She said: “I’m really, really single right now. Newly single. But it’s nice.” She also gave a hard “No” when asked if she had her eye on anybody new.

Maya Jama even appeared to reference her past relationship on Love Island, when speaking to five of the male contestants, saying: “Don’t forget, finding your perfect match is never that simple - trust me, I know.”
