Celebrity fashion stylist Ellis Ranson, who has styled stars such as Meghan Mckenna, Kate Ferdinand, Fern McCann and Helen Flanagan, shared her expert opinion on Maya’s outfits with Bristol World.
“Maya’s style is doing most of the talking in this series so far, and for good reason! She has turned up the heat and is going all out with her looks,” Ellis said.

“As opposed to fast fashion, we are seeing lots of unique brands and some higher end pieces. Keeping in theme with the show, the looks have been more daring than previous presenter styles.
“It looks like we will be seeing a lot of black styles on Maya Jama this season as we did last week - the sleekest and most flattering colour to wear in my opinion”.

According to Boohoo, searches for Maya’s black dress soared to over 800% after she wore an extreme cut out black dress in episode one.
Ellis continued: “The islanders are styling themselves in brighter colours, so keeping it simple and classic in black sets her aside from the rest of the show.

“The corset and tie details we saw last night are a great touch, mirroring the Kardashian’s latest style which is a ‘less is more’ vibe, which we’ve seen taking over the high street.
“She’s bringing a sultrier look to the show with her wardrobe in an understated, effortless way. Her style feels fun yet classy, which is perfect for her host role on Love Island.”

Maya wore her brunette hair down in a side parting, with bouncy curls falling over her shoulders and her signature flawless makeup.

Maya was also joined by comedian Babatunde Aleshe and this year’s contestants Haris Namani and Anna-May Robey, who were recently dumped from the island.
Love Island continues on ITV1 at 9pm
