and live on Freeview channel 276
Maya Jama has described herself as “wholesome” when she’s not styled by her glam team. The Love Island host, 28, from Bristol, took to Instagram on Tuesday morning to give fans a glimpse of herself looking fresh-faced and laid-back ahead of her next glamorous Love Island appearance.
The former Radio One host sat in the backseat of a chauffeur driven car, donned in a basic vest, short linen trousers, and big sunglasses. Maya’s usually immaculate raven locks were styled in a very loose, barely structured plait.
Maya captioned the story: “Me with no glam team is a wholesome local flower picking girlie that doesn’t brush her hair and lets her skin breathe… so avoids make-up lolol.”
Maya later shared a short video sitting in the make-up chair and drinking coffee, as her glam squad got to work.
Maya has previously discussed her beauty secrets and how she takes care of her skin when she’s not in full-glam for work appearances. Speaking to WhoWhatWear, she said: “I try to get a facial at least once a month, just because of all the travelling. I have a pretty basic skincare routine. I use the CeraVe cleanser and cream, and it really does the job.
“I love my MIJ face masks and use them at least three times a week and use the MIJ under-eye masks every single morning.”
The Love Island host is currently just one week into her second series of the ITV2 show, and has already made an impression with fans. Maya made her entrance wearing a white cut-away crochet gown, which she followed with a bare-all Balmain blue knit dress.
Before the series started, the Bristol-native confessed that she will be donning some of the sexiest outfits she’s ever worn for the series, while admitting that her glam squad have intentions of making her dresses as revealing as possible.
Maya said: “I have the best glam in the world and they transform me every day. We have meetings now because of the pressure of living up to last season’s looks.”
Love Island continues every weekday on ITV2 at 9pm.
