A brand new batch of singletons arrived in the Love Island villa on Monday as the ITV show returned to screens for the 10th series. Maya Jama, 28, from Bristol, is back to her hosting duties after making her debut during the winter edition of the show earlier this year.

Zachariah Noble entered the Love Island villa as a bombshell this week at the end of the first episode of the summer series. The 25-year-old, from South East London, is a personal trainer and basketballer who most recently played for Worcester Wolves. When asked what he’ll bring to the villa, Zachariah said: “I’m a very chilled-out guy, and I’m completely myself 100% of the time. I’m quite straightforward and never struggle making friends. I like to look after people.”

He was given 24 hours to choose which girl he would like to pair with, leaving one of the boys vulnerable. He decided to couple up with Catherine, who was previously paired with Andre, telling the group their conversations were very “beautiful” and “easy”.

It appears the latest bombshell to walk through the door has quite a few famous connections and is a familiar face to Maya Jama. Zachariah’s half-sister Snoochie Shy, 29, is a friend of the Bristolian TV presenter. The 29-year-old BBC Radio 1Xtra DJ, whose real name is Cheyenne Davide, famously appeared on I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! in 2021.

Snoochie took to her Instagram on Wednesday to cheer on her brother and posted snaps of the pair on holiday together. She wrote: "WELL, HERE WE GO. MY BABY BRO IS IN THE LOVE ISLAND VILLA !!! GO, ZAC." Zac also has another celebrity connection to the ITV show. Viewers were surprised to learn that he is friends with ex-Islander Jack Fowler. There were comments that the two sounded alike even before their friendship was confirmed.

Love Island airs on ITV2 every day at 9 pm.
