McDonald’s 24-hour restaurant reduces opening hours due to ‘staff shortages’

It is understood that a shortage in staffing is one of the reasons for the decision to reduce opening hoalthough McDonald’s would not confirm this.
A spokesperson said: “We can confirm that the opening hours at our Brislington restaurant have recently changed.
“The restaurant will continue to operate 24 hours a day on Fridays and Saturdays, while it will now open from 6am to midnight Sunday to Thursday.”

Pay starts at £9.60 an hour, and goes up to £11.60 for overnight hours.
The restaurant is the latest place to be hit by a staffing shortage.
Earlier this month, BristolWorld revealed that Greggs closed a story in The Galleries due to staff shortages.
McDonald’s operates 1,300 restaurants across the UK, including 10 across Bristol.
