Daniel Hill: Human remains found in Stockwood formally identified as those of missing man

Human remains discovered in woodland in Stockwood have been formally identified as those of missing man Daniel Hill.

Officers were initially called to woodland near Whittock Square on Sunday, November 14.

A few days later, Avon and Somerset Police said they had informed the family of Mr Hill, who went missing in September, of the case.

Today, the force confirmed that the human remains have been identified as those of Mr Hill.

A spokesperson said: “His family have been informed and our hearts go out to them.

“His death is not being treated as suspicious.

“We’re continuing to carry out further enquiries on behalf of the coroner’s office.”
