Big Jeff Bristol: Legendary gig-goer shares first picture of himself since fire
Gig-goer and artist Jeff Johns, better known as Big Jeff, has posted a picture of himself from hospital as he continues his recovery from a fire at his home.
Big Jeff has been undergoing treatment at a specialist burns unit in Swansea after he was badly burnt in the fire while cooking at his Totterdown home on June 6.

Hide AdAt the end of June, the 39-year-old regained consciousness and continued his ‘good’ recovery.
Now, less than a month on, Big Jeff has posted a message with a picture of himself to friends on Facebook with a picture of himself. The message has since been shared on Twitter.
The image shows the extent of his burns, while his hair is cut short.
He said: “Thanks for all the love and everything, looking forward towards getting back to being with you guys with spirit and determination. I can’t wait to see you guys x x x x Big Jeff x.”

Hide AdBig Jeff is very well-known in the music scene in Bristol and could be seen at gigs - in November he told BristolWorld that he had been to around 4,000, and at one point was doing 300 shows a year.
During lockdown he concentrated on his love for art, and at the end of last year he launched his first exhibition called Welcome to My World at The Island in Nelson Street.
