When is the May half-term break in Bristol?

Pupils at schools in Bristol will break up for the May half-term holiday on Friday, May 27.

School children will return to classrooms 10 days later on Monday, June 6.

This will signal the second-to-last school holiday until kids are off again  for the summer break, marking the end of the academic year.

When is the May bank holiday?

The next bank holiday to hit the UK following Easter is just a matter of weeks away.

May Day falls on Monday, May 2 and the next one - to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee -takes place in June..

To celebrate this landmark for the monarch, people across Bristol and the rest of the UK will enjoy a four-day weekend.

The two bank holidays fall on Thursday, June 2 and Friday, June 3.

However, after three bank holidays within the space of one-and-a-half months, everyone will have to wait until August for the next bank holiday.

This falls on Monday, August 29 2022.

When do pupils break up for the summer holidays?

The last scheduled term-time break for kids ends on June 6.

School children in Bristol will be back in the classroom for a six-week period before the end of the school year.

To mark the end of the 2021/2022 academic year, pupils and teachers alike will break up for the summer holidays, which means six-weeks of late nights, free time, and fun with friends and family.

In Bristol, pupils will break up for the summer holidays on Thursday, July 21 according to the Bristol City Council website.

When does the 2022/2023 school year start?

Bristol City Council have already outlined official return dates for school children ahead of the next academic year.

The official website indicates that the new school year is set to begin on Thursday, September 1 for a six-week first term.

The October half-term comes around on Friday, October 21.
