Created in 1994, Feeder consisted of Grant Nicholas (vocalist, guitarist, chief songwriter), Jon Lee (drummer) and Japanese native Taka Hirose (bass player).

The name ‘Feeder’ itself derives from the name of Nicholas’ goldfish.

Feeder’s first ever EP ‘Two Colours’ was released in 1995 and their second, ‘Swim’, came the following year.

‘Polythene’ was their debut album that came out in 1995 and was critically acclaimed - peaking at number 65 on the UK albums chart.

After the tragic passing of their drummer Lee in 2002, Feeder re-emerged with March Richardson on drums in the August of that year and continued their success.
