Great Bristol Run 2022: How to track Bristol half marathon runners on the app

On-lookers at this year’s Great Bristol Run will be able to track participants in live time thanks to a new app

The event consists of three separate races - The Bristol Half Marathon, The 10k and the family-run - and they’re due to depart from Anchor Road in the city centre on Sunday morning before going their separate ways around the city’s most iconic landmarks to reach their distances.

The finish line is in the heart of the city at Millenium Square.

Although vantage points have been dotted around the running routes for spectators to catch a glimpse of their family members or friends, a new app has been created so that on-lookers can follow their loved one’s every move and see live updates on how they’re progressing throughout the race.

The Great Run mobile app which is available on Apple and Android devices features a live leaderboard, interactive course maps, live tracking and push notifications to keep you updated with everything on the day.

How to track runners in The Great Bristol run

• Download the ‘Great Run: Running Events’ app on the Apple or Android store.
• Sign up for a ‘spectator account’ using your e-mail address and a password
• Search for your friend or family member in the tracking area by using their name, bib number city or team
• Wait for the participant to start the race to receive live updates.
