Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary is a fairly small cat and dog sanctuary which opened in 1992 just outside of Bristol, in Wild Country Lane, Barrow Gurney.
A wide range of dog breeds and ages are available for adoption, including Lurches, Staffies and Terriers.
Scroll through to learn about 15 of the rescue centre’s residents, who would love to find a permanent home in time for Christmas. More information on the dogs and the adoption process is available via the Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary website.

13. Stripe, 2 year old male Staffy
"Striking Stripe is a two year old staffie. He can be a little anxious at first but loves a cuddle with his carers and despite his size he thinks he’s a lap dog. He’s always happy to offer you his paw in return for a treat. He would like a quiet home with someone willing to help build his confidence and continue his training." | Holly Hedge

14. Suki, 3 year old female Crossbreed
"Suki is approximately three years old but has sadly spent much of her life in kennels. She would love a home with someone around most of the time as she does get worried left on her own. She is a very friendly girl with everyone she has met but does get a little frustrated and over-excited around other dogs so would love a home willing to continue her positive reinforcement training." | Holly Hedge

15. Tobi, 3 year old male Shar-Pei
"Tobi is a young handsome Sharpei nicknamed cheeky chops! He can be a little bit aloof with people he doesn’t know but is a very food motivated chap. He’s definitely not too keen on wet weather or mud, so would love a warm and cosy new home in time for the winter." | Holly Hedge
