Football Manager 2023 is a popular football management simulation game that the footballing world plays in their droves. It's been in existence through various guises for the last 25 years and more, and is a way for supporters to do what they'll probably never do, which is take to the dugout of their beloved team.

Most recently, Sports Interactive released a winter update, which has the squads up-to-date from all the transfers from the January transfer window. The game tries to be as accurate as it can be and has a series of contributors to its database, who scout specific teams and leagues.

Bristol Rovers made five signings and also let five leave with Liverpool’s Jarell Quansah replacing Bobby Thomas, whilst Ellery Balcobe was brought in to provide competition to James Belshaw. With an injury to Jordan Rossiter, Aston Villa midfielder Lamare Bogarde came in and has so far been impressive for the Gas, enduring a difficult run of form before a win against Oxford United and a point against Barnsley most recently.

With several players on loan from Premier League and Championship squads, as well as the exceptional form of Aaron Collins, FM could help settle the debate as to who the best player in the squad is. Collins is for sure a contender not only for the club Player of the Year award but also League One, given his 25 goal contributions this seaso.
