Former Bristol Rovers target and ex-Man Utd player joins Championship rivals of Bristol City

Following the closure of the January transfer window, the defender was briefly linked with Bristol Rovers after leaving FC Cincinnati last year.
Rotherham have been dealt a number of injury blows in the centre of defence, as they look to bolster their options in a bid to remain in the Championship, with Sean Morrison and Grant Hall both sustaining significant injuries.

Hide AdBlackett is famailir with the Championship, having made over 100 appearances for Reading before joining Nottingham Forest. He started his caeer with Manchester United and had loan spells with Blackpool, Birmingham City and Celtic before joining Reading.
The Millers are eight points above the relegation zone and just five points adrit of Bristol City, who drew 0-0 at Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night. Blackett has joined on a short-term deal until the end of the season.
A club statement read: “Blackett arrives in South Yorkshire in time for this weekend’s trip to one of his old clubs Birmingham City this weekend and bolsters the Millers defence, which has been hit hard by injuries in recent weeks with Sean Morrison and Grant Hall – to name just two – sidelined for lengthy periods.
“He attended the game against Queens Park Rangers as a guest of the club at the weekend and watched his new teammates record an important Sky Bet Championship victory at AESSEAL New York Stadium. Blackett will wear the number 42 shirt during his time in a Millers shirt.
“Everyone at Rotherham United would like to welcome Tyler to the club and wish him all the best for his time at AESSEAL New York Stadium.”
