Ryan Broom is on the search for a new club after it was confirmed he would be leaving Cheltenham Town this summer.

The 26-year-old was offered a new contract by the Robins, but GloucestershireLive claim that Broom has accepted a deal with a different club, and will depart Whaddon Road on a free transfer. Freelance journalist Alan Nixon claims that Broom’s next destination could be Fleetwood Town who are eyeing a move. He had only joined Cheltenham on a one-year deal after joining for an undisclosed fee from Peterborough United.

He was limited to just 18 appearances during his time at London Road and scored nce, before getting a loan move in the second part of the 2020/21 campaign. Broom spent the entirety of last year at Plymouth Argyle, helping the Pilgrims to a top-half finish.

Cheltenham remain in discussions with former Gas midfielder Liam Sercombe, who joined them after leaving the Memorial Stadium in 2020. The 33-year-old has made 136 appearances for Cheltenham, accumulating 15 goals and 15 assists, whilst helping them win promotion from League Two.
