Championship clubs all made tough decisions at the end of last season to release players and trim down squad sizes.
Like every summer, a whole host of players saw their contracts expire and became free agents.
Many attackers in the second tier found themselves unattached and have since found themselves new homes ahead of the next campaign.
However, some remain available and only have a few more weeks now to sign for someone before the new term starts.
Bristol City have a few options in attack such as Chris Martin, Andreas Weimann and Antoine Semenyo but the door remains open still to bolster this department.
Nigel Pearson’s side continue their preparations for the 2022/23 season and are playing Portsmouth in a friendly today.
