Bristol City are back in pre-season friendly action today against Portsmouth.

The Robins take on Danny Cowley’s side as they look to make it two wins in a row after seeing off Cheltenham Town last week.

They have been busy so far this summer and have brought in the vesstile Kal Naismith from Luton Town, defender Kane Wilson from Forest Green Rovers, midfielder Mark Sykes from Oxford United and goalkeeper Stefan Bajic from Pau.

Bristol City finished 17th in the Championship last term and will be hoping for a better season next time around.

Nigel Pearson is an experienced manager in the Football League and knows what it takes to get promoted to the Premier League.

He still has the chance to bolster his squad between now and the start of the new season on 30th July.
