Sheffield Wednesday v Bristol City team news - 9 out, 3 doubts and 3 returning for Championship clash

The Robins travel to Hillsborough on Saturday

Bristol City are boosted by the return of two key players for their trip to Championship strugglers Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

The Robins are set to welcome back Scott Twine and Cam Pring, who have made strides back to fitness in the past week.

Burnley loanee Twine has been missing since his debut against Watford with a quad problem, he was fit enough to be named on the bench against QPR last time out but wasn't risked.

Likewise, Pring is likely to be involved in some capacity. The defender has missed the last two City matches with a knee injury and Haydon Roberts has deputised in his absence.

Mark Sykes is another who is closer to starting, after his cameo off the bench last time out.

Liam Manning will be hoping for a much-improved performance from that against the Hoops, where Ilias Chair's first-half goal crushed any chance of the Robins developing some momentum after their shock Southampton win.

City were well off the pace in truth, which is likely partly down to their heavy schedule over the last six weeks.

Off the back of a first full week of training for the first time in a month and a half, City will be eager to respond against Wednesday, but they will face no easy task.

While Danny Rohl's side are in the relegation places, they've won two of their last three matches, against Millwall and Birmingham City.

The hosts will set up to make things difficult for the Robins, who may have to be patient in their approach.

Wednesday will also be without some key members but could be boosted by the return of goalkeeper Cameron Dawson.
