The future of Scott remains one of the most discussed topics in the Championship right now. Plenty of clubs have shown interest in the midfielder, including Premier League sides Wolves, Spurs, and West Ham, with the latter recently claiming they will match any other bids currently being received for Scott.

While it’s almost inevitable the temptation of top flight football will see the 19-year-old move on eventually, Nigel Pearson has commented on the matter and wants to make it clear that City are not actively signing players to replace Scott.
“If we sign somebody in that area, we’re not replacing Alex Scott,” he said. “Let me be absolutely crystal clear on that from my own perspective — anybody that we are either interested in, or trying to sign, or looking at in midfield, is not to make room for then Alex Scott going, that’s not what we’re doing.”
Millwall set to announce signing of City target
Millwall are on course to complete the signing of Joe Bryan from Fulham, snubbing Bristol City of the opportunity to bring back their former player. According to the South London Press, the full-back is undergoing his medical today and an official announcement of his arrival is expected to come on Wednesday.
