There are few things in football more exciting than the transfer window and Bristol City have already gotten stuck into the action. But there is plenty of time left to acquire more recruits, and indeed, cash in on some existing players, including star midfielder Alex Scott.

Premier League side will match any bid for Alex Scott

The bustle to snap Scott up continues as Premier League sides have now entered the race. Bristol City have conceded they will lose the highly sought after young star but they are likely to pocket quite a handsome amount through a sale.

According to KUMB, two of the three top flight clubs in the running for Scott have already tabled offers. Wolves reportedly put down an opening £15 million, while Tottenham Hotspur have offered £18 million. West Ham are also very keen on the midfielder, and while they haven’t put a concrete bid out there, they have told Bristol City they will match both bids, leaving the decision in the hands of Scott.

Eight Championship clubs in running for Everton ace

Everton striker Ellis Simms is attracting a lot of attention this window as he enters the final year of his contract at Goodison Park. As reported by the Daily Mail, Coventry City, Ipswich Town, and Swansea City have all entered the race for the 22-year-old.

Stoke City, Sheffield Wednesday, Middlesbrough, Blackburn Rovers, and recent last season’s loan club Sunderland are all also in the mix for Simms. The 22-year-old enjoyed a solid loan spell with the Black Cats last season, contributing seven goals and two assists in 17 appearances. However, his future with Everton is unclear and it remains to be seen whether Sean Dyche will cash in or hold onto him following the club’s second relegation scare in as many seasons.
