A round-up of all the key talking points from the Championship - including update from West Brom and Millwall

The January transfer deadline day fast approaching and so far it has been a very quiet transfer window for Bristol City who are yet to add a single player to their play-off chasing squad.

"When you look at who's out there and who's available, is it a massive upgrade on what we've got? There isn't in terms of that,” Were the words of Bristol City boss Liam Manning when quizzed about his team’s lack of transfer activity.

But many fans from West Country are growing frustrated at the team’s lack of incomings particularly at a time when the team are just three points adrift of the play-offs.

There is however, plenty of transfer action taking place elsewhere in the division on the weekend of Bristol City’s upcoming clash with in-form Oxford United. Here Bristol World takes a look at this weekend’s main talking points.

Luke Cundle completes Millwall transfer

Bristol City have been extremely quiet on the transfer front this month, but one player that has been heavily linked in the winter period is Wolves youngster Luke Cundle.

Cundle, who previously enjoyed loan stints at Swansea City, Plymouth and Stoke City, was reportedly a target for Bristol City in this window after a lack of first team action at Molineux, but has instead opted to complete a move to Millwall.

"Luke has Championship and some Premier League experience - he is a midfielder who is comfortable on the ball, is full of energy and wants to run and play forward," Millwall's director of football Steve Gallen told the club's website.

The 22-year-old becomes Alex Neil's fourth signing of the January transfer window, following Aaron Connolly, Tristan Crama and Ajay Matthews through the door at The Den.

Burnley fight to secure loan move for Spurs starlet

Championship promotion hopefuls Burnley are believed to be one of the frontrunners in the race to sign 19-year-old Tottenham forward Will Lankshear on loan until the end of the season.

The Spurs academy graduate has made six senior appearances this season and netted his first career goal against Galatasaray in a 3-2 Europa League defeat in November before being sent off.

He is an England Under-20 international, deemed to have a bright future in the game, but has now been made available for loan by the capital club as they seek to give the striker first team exposure further down the pyramid.

Football London understands Burnley boss and former Spurs captain Scott Parker is pushing hard to get a loan deal over the line, but the outlet adds that Middlesbrough boss Michael Carrick, also formerly a player at Spurs, and West Brom are also showing interest along with Cardiff City and Luton Town.
