The summer transfer window slammed shut last week after Bristol City welcomed Stefan Bajic, Kal Naismith, Kane Wilson and Mark Sykes to Ashton Gate.
After a slow start to the campaign, the Robins have improved in recent weeks and have claimed four wins in their last five matches, leaving them fourth in the Championship table.
While their positive transfer business looks to be paying off, they will undoubtedly continue to be linked with fresh faces ahead of January, while their league rivals also continue to find new targets to compete in the second tier.
Here are the latest transfer news involving Bristol City’s Championship rivals...
Swansea City boss could leave club
Potter was named Chelsea’s new manager earlier this week and have left the Seagulls on the hunt for a replacement, though they will have big boots to fill.
Martin is currently a favourite to make the move to the south coast and could be tempted by the thrill of the Premier League, though it is likely the Swans will want to keep him despite their league position.
The Welsh club currently sit 19th in the table after picking up only nine points from their opening eight matches.
West Ham target Sheff Utd ace
Sheffield United will face the challenge of keeping hold of defender John Egan this summer, according to The Sun.
The report claims that West Ham are targeting a move for the centre-back with David Moyes previously eyeing a transfer over the summer, however the Blades refused to sell up.
Despite the Irons bringing in both Nayef Aguerd and Thilo Kehrer to bolster his defence, it is believed he is still eager to lure Egan away from Yorkshire.
It is thought they are preparing a £12m bid for Egan, though United are likely to put up a fight to keep him at the club.
Sunderland youngster could join rivals
Newcastle United are eyeing a swoop for Sunderland teenager Chris Rigg, according to reports.
At 15 years old, Rigg is currently the England U16 captain and has hugely impressed in Sunderland’s youth ranks.
It is thought the youngster is one of the most highly-rated prospects in the country and the Black Cats will be desperate to hold onto him, while this wouldn’t be the first time the Magpies have lured one of their rivals’ academy stars to Tyneside.
Eddie Howe’s side previously snapped up Jay Turner-Cooke from the Wearside club, who has proved to be a huge hit for Newcastle’s youth team.
