Bristol City have just two games left before the 2022/23 Championship season comes a close and they can turn their attention to the transfer window. First up on their calendar is league champions Burnley at Ashton Gate, before their final clash with Queens Park Rangers on the road.

The Robins started the season off strong but have ultimately endured an inconsistent campaign and have just two wins in their last eight matches. Fortunately, they are at no risk of relegation and will enter the next season comfortably. With two games left until the break, let’s take a look at the latest transfer links surrounding Bristol’s Championship rivals.

Sky Sports have reported that Brighton and Hove Albion have agreed a deal in principle with Watford for João Pedro. If the move comes to fruition, it will eclipse the £20 million the Seagulls paid for Adam Webster back in 2019. The report claims the move will be be finalised once the transfer window reopens.

Pedro’s current contract runs until 2028 and he has contributed 11 goals and four assists for the Hornets this season, establishing himself as the club’s top scorer for the term.

Burnley in the mix for £26 million-rated forward

Bristol’s upcoming opponents are on the market for a new forward and have joined the race for Nigerian international Ademola Lookman. That’s according to 90min, who have reported Burnley’s interest in the 25-year-old, despite him signing for Italian outfit Atalanta just last year.

Lookman has bagged 13 goals and five assists in Serie A this season and is valued by Transfermarkt at €30 million (£26m). Crystal Palace are also said to be in the running for the winger’s services.

Everton are currently locked in a tough battle to survive relegation from the Premier League. But even if the Toffees do face the drop into the Championship, they are keen on signing Tyrese Campbell from Stoke City, according to Football Insider.

Everton have struggled to find the back of the net this season, scoring just 25 goals across the campaign, which is the lowest in the entire league. Sean Dyche is on the market for new attacking options and Campbell is reportedly at the top of the list. The 23-year-old Potters striker has tallied nine goals and five assists this season, and his current contract is due to run out next summer.
