Rangers are ‘well placed’ to sign Norwich City goalkeeper Angus Gunn this summer, as per a report by Football Insider. The former Manchester City and Southampton stopper has forced his way back into the Canaries team under David Wagner recently. However, he is being linked with an exit from Carrow Road at the end of this season.

Ex-Championship man lands new move

Former QPR, Coventry City and Sheffield United striker Leon Clarke has been snapped up by League Two side Hartlepool United on a free transfer. The 38-year-old has linked up with Keith Curle’s side as they look to avoid slipping back into the National League. He has made 523 appearances in his career to date and has scored 154 goals.

Reading land ex-Burnley youngster

Reading have completed the signing of Burnley academy graduate Matthew Carson after he impressed the second tier club on trial. The 20-year-old defender has penned a short-term deal with the Royals and will initially play for the U21s. He rose up through the ranks at Turf Moor but left in 2021 for Accrington Stanley on a permanent basis after loan spells at Nelson and Padiham.
