Middlesbrough defender pens deal

Middlesbrough have tied up a deal for defender Jack Hannah. The 19-year-old has risen up through the academy at the Riverside Stadium and has made the step up into their U21s team so far this season.

Hannah has put pen-to-paper on an extension until the summer of 2025. Michael Carrick has made a positive impression since taking over from Chris Wilder and Boro are three points above Bristol City.

Sheffield United contract latest

Sheffield United are not expecting contract progress regarding key pair Iliman Ndiaye and Oli McBurnie until after the festive period, as per The Star. Ndiaye is going to the World Cup with Senegal and will be looking to show what he can do in Qatar.

Former Swansea City man McBurnie has been in fine form recently and has scored nine goals in the league in this campaign. He see his current deal expire in June 2023.

Rotherham United bring in new face

Rotherham United have bolstered their coaching staff by bringing in Scott Brown as their new goalkeeping coach. The 37-year-old has left League One side Exeter City to move to the New York Stadium.

He has penned a long-term deal until 2027 with the Millers and has reunited with Matt Taylor.
