Watford sign defender

Watford have snapped up defender Aidan Coyne from Perth Glory. The 18-year-old has joined the Hornets on a deal until the end of the season and they hold an option to extend his stay beyond that, as announced on their official club website.

The teenager has been on trial with a number of English clubs over recent times but has now put pen-to-paper at Vicarage Road. He has already made first-team appearances so far in his career in the A-League.

Wigan Athletic linked with candidate

Wigan Athletic remain in the hunt for a new boss after deciding to sack Leam Richardson. They are currently a single point behind Bristol City in the league.

In this latest update by Football Insider, the Latics have held ‘talks’ with former Everton coach Duncan Ferguson. The 50-year-old is available after leaving Goodison Park earlier this year.

Coventry City goalkeeper leaves on loan

Coventry City goalkeeper Tom Billson has joined Kidderminster Harriers on loan. The stopper has been given the green light to head out the exit door to get some more experience under his belt.

He has linked up with the National League North side on a one-month deal. He had a spell with Scunthorpe United last term.
