As City continue their summer preparations, we have rounded up all the latest news surrounding the Robins and their Championship rivals.

Romano’s Scott update

Bournemouth are said to be returning to the table with a fresh bid for City star Alex Scott.

Fabrizio Romano has tweeted: “Bournemouth are preparing new bid for Alex Scott. He’s top target in midfield as club will try to win competition. New proposal will be submitted soon after £15m bid rejected in the last 24h. Bournemout aware of competition from several UK clubs.”

It’s worth noting that Wolves are also said to have submitted a bid worth £18million, but they are also said to have seen their bid rejected. Scott looks likely to leave this summer, but the Robins have a value in mind that they want met.

Hermansen bid

Leicester City are said to be closing in on a deal to sign Brondby goalkeeper Mads Hermansen.

According to The Telegraph, the Foxes are ‘increasingly confident’ of sealing a £6million deal for the Dane despite reported Premier League interest. Hermansen is currently former Leicester star Kasper Schmeichel’s number two with the Denmark national team, and the Midlands club are said to be keen to make him their long-term starting goalkeeper.

Leicester struggled between the sticks last season, starting with Danny Ward before ultimately switching to Daniel Iversen due to the Welshman’s disappointing form.

Campbell sceptical over Everton interest

Pundit Kevin Campbell has been speaking about Everton’s reported pursuit of more than one Leeds United star this summer.

“Rodrigo at £3million, that was the no-brainer,” he told Goodison News. “With the price of the others I’m not sure. Jack Harrison, I think you can’t go wrong. Gnonto, I think you can’t go wrong.

“Summerville? Probably a little bit more of a punt that one would be. But they’re going to cost money. Gnonto and Harrison are going to cost money.”
