Bristol City man facing ‘uncertain’ future with transfer target closing in on move elsewhere

All the latest Bristol City news and rumours on Thursday.

Bristol City are busy preparing for the start of the new Championship season.

The Robins kick-start the new campaign away at Nigel Pearson’s former club Hull City on 30th July.

They have played two pre-season friendlies so far against League One pair Cheltenham Town and Portsmouth to help their players get back up to speed.

Next up is a trip to Plymouth Argyle this weekend.

Here is a look at all the latest news coming out of the club today...

O’Leary facing uncertain future

Bristol City goalkeeper Max O’Leary could secure a move away in this transfer window.

The 25-year-old has been on the books at Ashton Gate for his whole career to date and has made 36 appearances for the club in all competitons, as well as having loan spells away at Kidderminster Harriers, Bath City, Solihull Moors and Shrewsbury Town.

Bristol Live report his situation is ‘uncertain’ and that League One side MK Dons are interested in bringing him in on loan.

Target to join Championship rivals

Jack Rudoni, who has been linked with Bristol City, is closing in on a move to fellow Championship side Huddersfield Town.

The attacking midfielder was part of the AFC Wimbledon side relegated to League Two last term.

TEAMtalk claim the Terriers are poised to win the race for his signature and mentions the fact the Robins were interested along with the likes of Sunderland and Blackpool.

Trialist played against Bristol City

It turns out Portsmouth were casting their eyes over a trialist released by one of Bristol City’s league rivals earlier this week, as per The News.

Pompey played Terell Thomas, who left Reading at the end of June, against the Robins on Tuesday afternoon.

The centre-back has also played for AFC Wimbledon and Crewe Alexandra in the past and is weighing up his next move in the game.
