Bristol City are now preparing for their Servernside derby clash with Cardiff City on Sunday.

It has been a slow start to the season for the Robins, but they picked up three valuable points during the week.

Nahki Wells and Tommy Conway were on target as City saw off Luton town, despite finishing the game with 10 men.

Nigel Pearson’s men will now be looking to build on that result at Ashton gate on Sunday against a Cardiff side who have enjoyed a very decent start.

In the meantime, we have rounded up the latest news and transfer rumours concerning the Robins and their Championship rivals.

Bryan opportunity

City have been linked with a surprise move for former defender Joe Bryan.

According to Bristol Live, Bryan is available for a loan deal after falling out of favour at newly promoted Premier League side Fulham.

The Robins could see that as a big opportunity to add strength at the full-back position, but it remains to be seen whether they will make a move.

Aarons interest

Norwich City full-back Max Aarons is said to be attracting interest home and abroad.

According to the Daily Mail, via the Daily Echo, Southampton, Manchester United, and clubs around Europe have expressed an interest.

Aarons is still only 22 years of age, and he is seen as an attractive prospect, already with close to 200 senior appearances.

Change at top spot

The headline from Saturday’s Championship action is Sheffield United moving into top spot.

The Blades defeated Blackburn Rovers to move above Watford and into first, one point clear.

Watford drew with Preston on Saturday and remain one of only four teams unbeaten.

Preston are also unbeaten after five games, while Wigan and Rotherham are unbeaten after four.

The Robins’ clash with Cardiff on Sunday is the only game left for this round of fixtures.
