The deal will see the company feature on the front of the shirts of Bristol City men and women, Bristol Bears men and women and Bristol Flyers.

It is the first time Bristol Sport has had one unified partner for its clubs.

Bristol Sport founder Steve Lansdown CBE said: “It’s what we’ve been aspiring to ever since we formed Bristol Sport back in 2014.

“We are now able to work with a local company that has grown rapidly itself and looking to improve its own standing in the market place.”

He added: “We’ve always said sport will support the city and the city should support sport.

“Here we have a local business supporting all of our sports and that is fantastic and I’m really looking forward to us working together over the next few years to take us both forward.”

Huboo was founded in 2017 and has a head office in central Bristol as well as fulfilment centres in Holland and Spain.

Its decision to partner Bristol Sport was to strategic one to promote the brand across multiple platforms.

Co-founder Martin Bysh said: “IT’s an exciting time for both Huboo and Bristol Sport - we have a shared vision of making Bristol proud.”

The Pucklechurch-based company will soon replace previous sponsor MansionBet on the red shirt of the Robins, who have sponsored the West Country outfit for the last two years.

Supporters have been quick to applaud the move away from gambling products and the pivot to a successful local company too.

The new deal has been heralded as a ‘ground-breaking principal partnership’ by Bristol Sport for Bristol City, Bristol Bears and Bristol Flyers’ teams.

And the news comes after the club announced a pre-tax loss of £38.4m in their last financial accounts - for 2020/21 - in December.

Any financial gain will help the club address their finances, affected by the covid pandemic, and build a side to achieve promotion to the Premier League.

Bristol Sport are continuing to push on with plans to develop the entire area around Ashton Gate into a sports quarter, with improved car parking, hotel and a new arena for the Flyers basketball team.
