There are just two weeks to go until the summer transfer window opens for business - and it can’t come soon enough for Bristol City manager Nigel Pearson.
The former Leicester City boss has already added one new face to his squad after he completed the signing of former Oxford United midfielder Mark Sykes.
The Robins have also added to their youth ranks with Guernsey teenagers Ben Acey and Tim Ap Sion making the step up from the non-league game.
Several players are expecting to depart over the summer months with Republic of Ireland midfielder Callum O’Dowda already on his way out after spending the last six seasons at Ashton Gate.
The hard work is only just getting underway for Pearson and he is believed to be keen to add one former Premier League defender to his ranks - but will face competition from a Championship rival for his signature.

1. Fulham linked with €15m midfielder
Fulham are reportedly keen on bringing Braga midfielder Almoatasembellah Al Musrati to the Premier League. The Portuguese club will reportedly demand around €15 million for his services. (Sport Witness)

West Brom are hopeful of sealing a deal to sign Jed Wallace this summer after his contract with Millwall expired. The winger is considered one of the best players in the Championship and has attracted a lot of interest. (Football League World)
3. Celtic & Rangers lock horns over Cardiff prospect
Celtic and Rangers are set to battle it out for the signing of Cardiff City winger Japhet Matondo. The 16-year-old would be available for around £130k due to the cross-border compensation fees. (Football Scotland)
