Robins agree terms for Brighton defender

Bristol City have agreed terms with Brighton and Hove Albion to bring Haydon Roberts to Ashton Gate this summer. According to Football Insider, the defender will join the Robins on a free contract, following the expiry of his current deal at the end of this month.

City have been in pursuit of Roberts for a while now and had recently accelerated their interest to beat other clubs to the punch. The versatile 21-year-old spent last season out on loan with Derby and Paul Warne described him as “a real standout performer” during his time at the Championship side.

Preston set to sign Liverpool man

Sticking with Football Insider, the latest report on Liverpool’s Calvin Ramsay has claimed that Preston North End have agreed a loan deal after Jurgen Klopp gave the green light for his temporary move this summer. Both Watford and Swansea City were also interested in signing the 19-year-old but the North End have fought off the competition.

Now, the two clubs are finalising terms for Ramsay before completing the transfer ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Norwich City interested in Newcastle winger

The Canaries are said to be interested in signing out of favour Newcastle winger Ryan Fraser on a loan deal this summer. According to Pink Un, Norwich are eager to bolster their options ahead of next season and have identified the Scot as a potential target.

Fraser was dropped to the Newcastle reserves earlier this year and his future now remains uncertain under Eddie Howe. However, Norwich want to add to their wide options this window and have added Fraser to their list alongside Reading’s Tom Ince.
