Bristol City’s transfer business so far this season

Bristol City did all their transfer business last summer. They decided not to sign anyone in January and stuck with what they had. That decision hasn’t come back to haunt them at all yet and if anything it has galvanised their players together more.

The Robins delved into the market last year to bring in the likes of Scott Twine, Fally Mayulu, Sinclair Armstrong, Luke McNally, Marcus McGuane and Yu Hirakawa. They also cut ties with players such as Tommy Conway, Andi Weimann and Taylor Gardner-Hickman. Those exits helped free up space and funds to pave the way for reinforcements.

As per Transfermarkt, Bristol City paid £3.25m for Twine after his loan spell in the last campaign from Burnley and he has since scored five league goals. They forked out £3m to bring in Mayulu from Rapid Vienna but his move to England didn’t work out. He was shipped out on loan to Sturm Graz this past winter.
