Hold the front page! Only five days after opening, a giant ‘Sausage Roll Swing’ at the new ‘Tasty by Greggs’ inside Bristol’s Primark has already BROKEN!

The pastry seat held up by chains was unveiled by Greggs as one of the main features at its new 102-seat cafe on the first floor of Primark. It was revealed along with doughnut-themed bootsh and wall paper featuring flying coffee, sausage rolls and air balloons.

But the swing appears to have struggled under the weight of excitement shared on our Facebook page on opening last Friday. Today (May 17), we visited to find the swing tucked behind a bin with a note reading ‘Sausage roll chair broken. Please do not touch. Sorry for any inconvenience’.

Bristol World has since reached out to the company to ask what happened, and when it will be open again.

The cafe is the latest to open in a partnership between Greggs and Primark. It is open Monday to Saturday, 9am to 8pm, and on Sunday from 11am to 5pm. There’s also a ‘click and collection’ service for shoppers with the Greggs App.
