Bedminster Asda supermarket in Bristol ‘covered with police’ searching for motorbike thief

There is heavy police presence in and around Asda supermarket in Bedminster as officers search for a motorbike thief this afternoon (May 12). People in the area have reported that the supermarket ‘is covered with police’.

Officers on ground level are also being supported by a police helicopter which has been seen circling over the area since around 3.30pm. Police say they have recovered the motorbike at the supermarket in East Street.

Bristol World contacted Avon and Somerset Police, which issued this statement: “Officers, with the support of the National Police Air Service, are responding to the theft of a motorbike in Bristol.

“The vehicle has been recovered near the Asda supermarket in Bedminster. Officers remain in the area searching for those involved.”
